Smooooth! Sides and edges of Advancer are smooth making them a pleasure to handle and load.

Glaze runs do not affect the surface integrity of Advancer shelves. Even without kiln wash glaze does not permanently stick to Advancer® and affected pots simply lift straight off after firing, rather than fusing to the shelf.

Use KilnShelf.com GlazeEraser® to instantly clean up glaze runs. Iron spots from speckled clay bodies or residual glaze halo's can be tidied up quickly by occasional polishing with a semi flex rigid disc. Unlike regular kiln shelves, this 'spring cleaning' does not affect the smooth flat surface of Advancer®.
