Advancer®, from the KilnShelf.com exclusive LO-MASS® product line. Low mass and high thermal conductivity result in shorter firing cycles helping studios save energy, improve productivity and reduce overall firing costs. Advancer® are significantly more resistant to oxidation than conventional NSiC; suitable for temperatures up to 1420ºC.

Made flat to stay flat. Advancer® never warp!

Super strong, super thin, super light & smooooth. At just 8mm thin, Advancer® are 19 times stronger and weigh 50% less than conventional SiC or 1" Cordierite kiln shelves. All surfaces are smooth to handle.

No more dusty angle grinding. Even without kiln wash the worst glaze disasters instantly rub away with the GlazeEraser® and affected pots simply lift straight off Advancer® after firing, rather than fusing to the shelf.

Use a semi flex rigid disc for occasional polishing or to quickly remove any residual glaze halos and iron spots left behind after firing speckled clays. Polishing does not affect the smooth flat surface of Advancer®.

Available in Square, Rectangle, Round, 8, 10 and 12-sided shapes to fit most Top Loading and Front Loading Gas, Soda or Electric kilns.

Plume Studio cannot carry all Advancer® sizes in stock, however we try to keep the most popular sizes on hand. If we don't have the size you're after back orders are included with the next shipment of kilns so that you can enjoy the benefit of FREE International freight. If your order is urgent, for an additional charge it can be freighted to us via FedEx or UPS within 7-10 days of ordering (warehouse stock permitting).
